Simply put – Zigen has now tested and is ready to release new HDCP 2.2 cards for their innovative line of modular 4K UHD matrix switches (HX-44/88/1616/HDBT). What this means is that now, for the first time integrators can distribute HDCP 2.2 content from devices like the Sony X-10 and other media players, HTPCs, Satellite STB (Genie from DirecTV at this point), and of course – the soon to be released new Blue-Ray players.
The Z-Cards come in HDMI-70M, HDMI-100M, and HDMI-HDMI.
Until now, dealers have not been able to integrate 4K into their distribution systems, leading to frustration from the 1.3 million consumers who picked up 4K UHD TVs over the holiday season - we are beyond the early adopter phase.
There are no more excuses for NOT putting in 4K infrastructures starting today.
